Employee Type: Part-time, 15 hours/week
Compensation: $10.00/hour

Purpose: Little Roots Teachers provide age-appropriate biblical instruction and spiritual care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Teachers support parents and guardians as they teach their children spiritual truths in the home. Teachers also serve as a liaison between Little Roots families and First Baptist Harrah.

Responsibilities: 

• Arrive 30 minutes prior to classroom or group time
• Greet and welcome children and parents
• Assist parents with check-in procedure
• Prepare and teach an age-appropriate Bible lesson to students and foster play that stimulates learning
• Provide comfort to upset children
• Change diapers, support potty-training, and administer basic first aid, according to church policy
• Follow check-out procedure as parents pick up children
• Perform light cleaning duties after school hours
